By submitting a written or verbal notice of “approval” you are:verifying that spelling and content are correct and that you are satisfied with the document(s) layout. You understand that your document will print EXACTLY as it appears here, that I cannot make any changes once the order is placed, and that you assume all responsibility for typographical errors. AllPrint is NOT LIABLE for errors in a final product upon approval.
Artwork Standard Sizes, Margins and Type Sizes
General Layout Requirements: To ensure your order is printed without delay, follow these guidelines: 1-up composite – one copy per item, one item per page. Actual size – document size reflects final product size. Colors used are CMYK, not RGB – Fonts are embedded or outlined – 1/8” inner margin – anything that doesn’t bleed is 1/8” from edge of product. When providing artwork with bleeds, please make sure that bleeds extend at least 1/16” to 1/8” beyond the product size. Bleeds not extended beyond the document size will be charged at $60/hour to extend bleeds. All black text is 100% black
Objects are not set to overprint. Photos & raster images are 300 dpi minimum. Use the mainline of your order for your file name. Do not use common names such as: business card.pdf, logo.tif, art.eps – Envelopes without bleeds must have at least a 5/16” gripper on one edge. Envelopes with bleeds are custom quote items as they may require post print converting. PMS colors are assigned in spot color files.
File Types Accepted:
PDF – from any native application. This is the best file format. For best results, use the PDF/x-1a2001 settings in Acrobat Distiller. EPS – include crop marks. TIF – high resolution (300dpi minimum for Full Color, 600dpi for Spot Color) Common issues: Low Resolution Image – Art that is low resolution will often have either blurry or jagged edges that will make it difficult to read when printed. 1/16” Bleeds – To ensure that the printed area will go all the way to the edge when cut, we need to have the artwork 1/16” larger than the final cut size. i.e. a 3.5” x 2” business card should be submitted as a 3.625” x 2.125” file. 1/8” Margins – Text and logos should not be closer than 1/8” from the edge of the artwork. Anything closer to the edge could get clipped off. 5/16” Gripper – Envelopes and letterheads have at least a 5/16” margin on either edge.
File Submission
AllPrint is not responsible for any errors on customer supplied artwork.Orders containing non-ready to print files will be placed on hold until a ready to print file in the correct file format is submitted. You must request a proof at the time of placing the order. Proofs cannot be sent after an order has started production. You may receive a proof, even if you didn’t specifically request one, if we feel it is necessary before starting production.Colors in a digital proof are not guaranteed to match the finished product. If the order details do not match the details of your submitted file(s) we will adjust the order details to match the file. In some cases this will cause a price change (increase or decrease) without notice. We cannot guarantee that the artwork will look exactly the same on your computer as it does on our equipment or the finished product. We do not guarantee our CMYK colors will match the colors seen on your inkjet printer, your computer, tablet, and/or cell phone monitor, another printer, or any other Color Mode you specify.
